Although the Wildebeest goes off in herds in this great migration, there are also some zebras in the migration process. Witnesses to the ‘Great Migration’ are the crocodiles and hippos as herds of Wildebeest cross the Mara River. Hence, not all the Wildebeest succeed in their migration attempt with the perils along the way. Some may turn back and be content with their lot at this side of the river.
